Life of Nepali Handicraft Artisans

HARD WORK HARD WORK HARD WORK….life of Nepali handicraft artisans can be best described as the synonym of hard work. Lots of people in the world dedicate their life in creating artwork to follow their passion and as an hobby. Well, the story of many of the artisans in developing countries specially Nepal is not like that. Most of the Nepali Artisans devote their whole life in producing crafts only to sustain their life. To make livelihood, to fulfill the basic needs(food, clothe, shelter) of life, to educate children for the bright future are the prominent reasons of crafting for them. They do not aim for something big. Just the ability to look after their family is much for them.
Recently, I visited some of the artisans in Lalitpur, Nepal. To be honest, I had never seen such a hard-working-still-not-stressed people. It must have been their determination to work for the happiness and bright future of their loved one.Third WorldCraft Nepal aims to support these hard working Nepali Artisans by promoting their products through international marketing.
